Dear Users, I want to show you our project: Denemo.

Purpose: Music-Composer Tool, Notation-Software, Lilypond-Fronted.

Languages: C, Scheme for scripting, generates Lilypond.

GNU Denemo is a free, GPL, open source music notation editor for Linux, MacOS and Windows that lets you rapidly enter notation for typesetting via the LilyPond music engraver. You can compose, transcribe, arrange, listen to the music and much more.

We are a small team of 3 people, 2 of them are real programmers.

Denemos GTK GUI is constructed manually because the origins are in the 90s. This is a bit clumsy, but we can't help it. We try to bring the software itself forward, think of the GUI later.

Frontend and Backend are not divided, but this is some greater goal we have.
