Hi again,

Thought I'd post this in a new topic for clarity.

I'm interested in doing some dynamic animations and transitions of screens, widgets and images to give my program a proffesional feel (it's a sort of multimedia program).

I'm writing in C and have been searching for so long to find examples of this but I can't.

Could anyone point me in the right direction or point me to some open source code of some really nice looking GTK programs written in C with nice transitions / animations?

Thanks again,

Glenn

Well you could use "Cairo" http://cairographics.org/ or Swfdec with Ming http://swfdec.freedesktop.org/wiki/ & http://ming.sourceforge.net/
There is "GdkPixbuf" you can find a example in they gtk source package.
http://www.gtk.org/ there is also a bunch more that i cant remember off the top of my head.

Here is an example of an animated gtk+ theme engine that uses cairo
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=42755

And here is a tutorial that tells you how to make custom gtk+ cairo widgets.

First part.
http://www.gnomejournal.org/article/34/writing-a-widget-using-cairo-and-gtk28

Second part.
http://www.gnomejournal.org/article/36/writing-a-widget-using-cairo-and-gtk28-part-2

You make an animated clock in these tutorials.
