You should check out GtkHTML. Version 2 is very advanced, but version 3 allows inline editing. MozEmbed is another good choice. However, those are for displaying pages. There aren't any objects in GTK+ to hold the actual HTML page themselves, but maybe there is in one of those widgets; I'm not really sure.
