Both this and your previous post are regarding functions that are buried deeper into the x system than most GTK+ developers would need to know. _XReply() is a function in xlib. Few programs use xlib directly, instead we use a toolkit like GTK+.
In any case, you would want to start learning xlib if you want a better understanding. Perhaps check out the xlib programming manual: http://tronche.com/gui/x/xlib/ |
