I am delving into GTK+ for the first time, already having a little experience with C/C++. I would be completely lost if it wasn't for this forum. I found a lot of great information in previous threads, and openldev was an asset to me when I was trying to figure out how to update a label's text.
Keep up the great work!

That was the idea! The gtk mailing lists are quite valuable as well, however, hopefully this site will provide a nice resource indexed by Google. Thanks for the feedback.
Note that Andrew's (openldev) book Foundations of GTK+ Development can come in handy for a new GTK+ developer as well.
As you learn and become more proficient at GTK+ programming, stop by once in a while to help out somebody else.
Cheers! |

Google is the first place people go, too, when they need an answer. Personally, I never join mailing lists anymore, now that forums are just so prevalent. I like being able to scan through a forum and easily read any topic I come across. :) |
