How can I get the measure of the decorations (caption,border etc)? I havent any GtkWidget on Linux.

I would think you would have to look into the theme details. Take a look at one of the theme files in your ~/.themes/ folder or check out a tutorial at art.gnome.org.
From there, you could likely use GtkRc styles to find out the various sizes of the decorations.
That's just an educated guess though. I've never attempted or contemplated it myself. |
