I have developed an extensive GUI using Glade2 and would like to migrate to using Glade3. Is there any support for converting the glade files?
I have noticed that I can open and edit the glade2 files using Glade3. I'm not sure if this constitutes backward compatibility or a conversion of the Glade2 generated file.
Perhaps a better question might be: "Should I even care?"; (I.e., is there any significant difference in how Glade3 produces its output file vs. Glade2?) |

| I'm sure there are some minor differences, however, I've never had a problem. I've successfully opened and worked on all my projects from Glade2 to Glade3 without incident. |

Thanks for the response!
After looking at Glade3, I really like some of the newer features (especially Undo, multiple projects, did I mention Undo?!) In reading about the changes there were references to using a different widget hierarchy. I wasn't sure if that was to better support Open Development, or an improvement in how its GUIs are specified. |
