Check out Gdk Drawing Primitives, the GtkDrawingArea widget and if you want to get fancy, the Cairo libraries.
Andrew's book Foundations of GTK+ Programming has a chapter on the GtkDrawingArea widget and the sample source code is also availbe at the book's website: http://www.gtkbook.com/ |
