Is it possible to smoothly scroll either text or a graphic using GTK?

I've tried a few example on the web but they all gitter. The only smooth scrolling example I've found was with SDL.

Regards,

Lee

Gnome's About dialog (Help -> About Gnome) have scrolling text that doesn't flicker, you can check out how did they do it.

Mmm...The source code for Gnome is BIG, Does anybody know where to start looking?

Or does anybody know of another example of smooth scrolling using GTK?

Regards,

Lee

You could start by opening /usr/bin/gnome-about if you have Gnome installed, it's a Python script.

If you do manage to crack this, please post your solution here, I'll need this next month too :)
