I am trying to run a Python application on Cygwin (on Windows 7) that I have ported from Ubuntu. The app opens OK in the X server window but then crashes after two seconds with the following messages:

** (process:8780): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'GMountMountFlags' as
enum when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'
** (process:8780): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'GDriveStartFlags' as
enum when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'
** (process:8780): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'GSocketMsgFlags' as
enum when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'
GLib (gthread-posix.c): Unexpected error from C library during
'pthread_mutex_unlock': Invalid argument. Aborting.

Cygwin version - 1.7.15
Python versiopn - 2.6.8
GTK version - either 2.24.12 or 3.4.4 (both are installed but not sure which is actually used by Python).

Any assistance to solve this problem would be much appreciated.

Hello,

Does your application use multiple threads? If it does then you will have problems trying to port it to a Windows system. Multiple threads under GTK+ is only supported under X11 and no other system. It is possible to have many threads on any system just that all calls to GTK+ MUST be done in one thread only.
