Hello,

I want to create a row of buttons and text-boxes all with different sizes. First, I created a buttonbox (gtk_hbutton_box_new()) when adding the buttons to the buttonbox, the output does not show their sizes (I set their sizes using gtk_widget_set_size_request)
Am I using the correct approach? am I missing something?

Thank you for your help,

Hello,

You have never said what version of GTK+ you are using. gtk_hbutton_box_new() is now deprecated since GTK+ v3.2.

The idea behind GtkButtonBox is to have all the buttons placed in it the same size and with a consistent layout. You can set individual widgets to have another size using gtk_button_box_set_child_non_homogeneous (), then applying your size.
