Hello everybody,

I have a problem and I'm desperate. I wrote a program with anjuta and gtk. If I run it in anjuta, everything works perfectly.
Now I wanted to start the program without anjuta. If I try to open the file in the Debug/src folder in the terminal I get following error:

Code:

Gtk-Critikal **: gtk_window_fullscreen: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
Gtk-Critikal **: gtk_window_hide: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
Gtk-Critikal **: gtk_window_show: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

Can anybody help me with that?

Hello,

I expect you were running your application via Anjuta without running in the terminal. If you did you would probably still get these errors.

These are run time errors from incorrect usage of the functions gtk_window_fullscreen(), gtk_widget_show() and gtk_widget_hide(). In this case passing a pointer to an object that is not a widget.

To help you find these you can run your application in a debugger with the environment variable G_DEBUG set to fatal-warnings. This would cause the program to abort on a critical or warning error allowing your debugger to view the stack trace so that you can see where the error occurred. From there you could then find out what caused the problem.

More details can be found at https://developer.gnome.org/glib/stable/glib-running.html
