I have an application (that I wrote) using C, GTK3 and autotools. It works perfectly on linux, and on windows everything works except the compilation of some GTK parts, but its behavior is really strange. some examples:
- it doesn't like the G_DEFINE_TYPE_WITH_PRIVATE, while G_DEFINE_TYPE is fine
- some functions/macros raise mysterious errors, like gtk_widget_class_bind_template_child() and similar

Searching on the internet gave no results; I tried changing some compiler switches (and some code too), but fixing one point breaks another, and I can't find the main reason..

Has anyone experienced (and maybe solved) anything similar?

I took one of the examples from the gtk source tree and it also doesn't compile, with the same errors, so probably is something regarding a misconfiguration, but I really don't see what can it be.
I'm working on a fresh new windows xp install, there is only the gtk3 all-in-one bundle, and the binaries that come with it run fine.
Hints?

Ok, probably last post.

I tried with a microsoft compiler, with visual studio, and the result is still the same.
Having done what the official documentation tells and tried the last stable bundle I'd say that it simply doesn't work - I don't care if the problem is on the code or on the docs, I'll just use something else.

Thank you guys for your time.
