hi everyone!
I have a question here.
Does GTK+ surpport Graphics View like Qt does(QGraphicsView, QGraphicsPathItem, QGraphicsProxyWidget, etc). And the overview is at: http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/graphicsview.html
Does Clutter-gtk / Cairo / goocanvas surpport it ?
And the GTK+ widgets can be placed on the view, meanwhile the Node graph can pan, scale, etc.
Thank you very much!
Best Wishes!

Hi,

From your question you are asking if there is a good canvas widget for GTK+.

Cairo is a very good drawing library, but not a scene graph canvas. So may not be what you need.

GooCanvas is good although it is aimed for GTK+ v2.xx using Cairo for drawing (So probably GTK+ v2.10+) It is now no longer actively developed.

Clutter/Clutter-GTK is probably the best thing currently. If available is can be OpenGl accelerated and is used in a number of Gnome applications. The developer is looking to have it integrated into GTK+ see - http://www.bassi.io/articles/2014/07/29/guadec-2014-gsk/.
