GTK+ Forums Needs Moderators

Many of you may have noticed the spam recently, and several changes to the forum since. While we've taken steps to remedy the spam, having more moderators could help make GTK+ Forums that much better! If you are interested, please send me a PM.

I'm a retired guy with a hobby interest in C programming now wanting to use Gtk also. I have time on my hands and would like to contribute to the functioning of this list.

Ok, now I see what you mean. I just saw 888cly. Not good.
I am new here and just started GTK.
Well, I am learning C as a hobby and interested in phidgets sensors and the like.
I want to build some GTK interfaces for my sensors. I recently bought the GTK+ book from Apress.

Anyway, if you need help, I guess you know how to contact me.

More than the last 200 pages are spam - maybe it's the time where you should do something. Aren't there any modifications to prevent bots? What's about another software with such a functionality?

Edit: Ups, more than 1000 pages. Hope there's a backup?

Yikes, that was not an easy task. We're back online. Sorry it took so long, I'm very busy and maintain this forum in my free time. I'll be sending some of you messages on how you can help should we find ourselves in trouble again.

Oh man there's spam everywhere (even on this thread). Poor forum. I know it's pointing out the obvious, but maybe it'd be worth putting in a captcha on the registration form (I presume there's some sort of easyish drop-in plugin for it).

I have asked Micah Carrick about this before. Bots's have cracked captcha's so they won't do any good.
Please report spam by clicking on the report button within the thread. This makes it easier and less time consuming to delete.
