Neither g_signal_connect nor gtk_signal_connect are exposed via the Lib's, i've tried latest package for windows gtk+ and tried the one in Glade. This is pretty basic stuff and i'm shocked no one else has come across this, does no one use this on windows or what?

Both gtk_signal_connect() and g_signal_connect() are MACROs, so to access them you need to include the relevant header. Hence you will not see them in the library files if you try to access them directly. This is not a bug. Since they are macros you will not be able to take the address of them.

Also note that gtk_signal_connect() has been deprecated for a long time now and should not be used in any new code.

Thanks, I replaced with g_signal_connect_data.

The macro g_signal_connect() and many more use g_signal_connect_data() function, so you may be doing the right thing. But do include the header files and not define them yourself.
