The GTK+ tutorial is outdated, but a good start. You can also check out Google code search to see how functions are used. There are good tutorials on GtkTreeView and GtkTextView available on the internet. Also, I wrote a book called Foundations of GTK+ Development that is written for people just learning GTK+. Hope this helps!

I just ordered your book after reading your post. I saw it mentioned in another thread a little while ago. I'm looking forward to getting it!
