Hello,

I've tried to use gtk+2 and gtk+3 in my CentOS 5.
But both failed. Showed dependency errors.

So which GTK+ should I try for CentOS 5

Thanks.

Edit: And a Tutorial of How to install gtk+ on CentOS 5 would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the GTK+ forums!

CentOS has GTK+ in it's repos, just search for "gtk" using yum. There will be no GTK+-3.x for you, since CentOS is quite old, but you can get GTK+-2.x development environment up. BTW, you can probably use instructions for Fedora here, since CentOS is quite similar in this respect to the RedHat's cousin.

Have install it from the repository using yum. It's alright for me with the older version because I'm in new in gtk+

$ rpm -q gtk+
gtk+-1.2.10-56.el5

Hi.

That version is a bit too old, since this is GTK+-1.x, which is really old and unsupported. Try installing "gtk2", which should install version 2 of GTK+.
