 Post subject: background color of selected item in gtk_list_store

Hello,

i want to have the selected item in my liststore another color than the standard blue.

I tried:
gtk_widget_modify_fg(treeview, GTK_STATE_NORMAL, &color);
But which is the right widget to set? (not the treeview, not the column, ...)

I also tried:
g_object_set(renderer, "cell-background", "Orange", "cell-background-set", TRUE, NULL);
no visible effect

and i tried the background property of pango markups (this only colors the bg of the text but not the whole cell).

Any other ideas?

try looking at the GtkTreeView tutorial, specifically here:

I remember something like what you want from following this tutorial, but I don't remember quite where it was, but I'll look.
