I am trying an example using Progress Bar.

When the progress is moving how to perform a task.

Can anyone send me an example for using GtkProgressBar.

The intuition would be to

* divide your "task" into small and quick steps (typically, a few milliseconds per step).

* make an idle routine which run one such short step and update the progress bar, and returns TRUE (to be activated again by the GTK loop) until your task is finished.

The major point is that the gtk main loop should have the control.
