For nearly two weeks I've been trying to compile a simple GTK application that just displays a window. I'e been following the gnome tutorial for gtk3, which can be found here: http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/ ... arted.html.
Whenever I try to compile my source file, my terminal says that it does not exist. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10. This is so frustrating!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome to the GTK+ forums!

If you want some specific help, you'll need to provide exact error messages that you get when trying to compile your app. But first steps that you need to take when preparing your computer for first time GTK+ compilation is to install development packages for GTK+ and it's dependencies (I think Debian-based distros call this package libgtk-3.0-dev). Have you done that?

Cheers,
Tadej
