Hi,

What widget you require depends on what you want to do with it. What you have shown us is a picture of what you want something to look like, which can be done with GtkBox widgets a GtkLabel widgets, plus setting various properties. What you do not describe is how the user is to interact with the interface. With out knowing that bit of information I can not give a full answer.

Using the property "vertical-seperator" is what you should use. Note that it must be an even number. It is unclear what you mean with

If you read the documents on GtkTreeView then you will see that this property does add space between the cells. You did not say that you wanted to see the background, so your original question was very unclear and lacked enough information to give a correct answer.
